Salary and benefits

Our success depends entirely on the quality of our people. Because you are our next generation of associates and partners in the making, we are committed to your training and development. We also believe in rewards that recognise your contribution and acknowledge your value to the firm.

Vacation schemes

Attendees on our summer vacation schemes will be paid £300 per week and will have full use of our facilities including the staff restaurant, swimming pool and state-of-the-art fitness centre.  

GDL & LPC

We will pay your course fees in full, as well as provide you with a maintenance grant for the GDL and the LPC. The level of contribution you are eligible to receive for both fees and maintenance will vary if you have already started the course before making your training contract application.

The current levels of maintenance grants are:

GDL
London £6,000
Outside London £5,000

LPC
London £4,900

The maintenance grant for both the GDL is paid in three equal instalments while the LPC is paid in two equal instalments, both in the relevant academic year.

Salaries

We review salaries every year. Currently they are:

  • First-year trainee £38,000
  • Second-year trainee £43,200
  • Newly qualified lawyer £61,500
